Delicious the gluten free bakery is the winner of SuperValu's prestigious Irish Food Producer Award in the category of New Market Entrant.
Speaking on TV3's Ireland AM, O' Callaghan explained how the rise in the number of individuals with food intolerances had contributed to the success of the range. The products caters for individuals on a gluten free, wheat free, dairy free & yeast free diet.
SuperValu congratulated Delicious on its rapid expansion to date and its innovation in the market. The award highlights the dynamic, energetic and entrepreneurial management style with which Denise O' Callaghan leads the group.
O' Callaghan stated "we are so delighted to win this award which is a wonderful endorsement of our product range". She added that "dealing with the personable SuperValu teams has been a great pleasure and we look forward to working more with them in the future". She stated that the company was indebted to the support that it had received from Enterprise Ireland and its local Enterprise Board.
Delicious was set up by Denise O' Callaghan in response to her father's diagnosis with coeliac disease. The company prides itself on the taste and quality of its products and is the winner of several awards including three Gold Medals at the Great Taste Awards. The company has the full approval of the Irish Coeliac Society.
